About this category
Although screen-printing can give you large, gorgeous designs, there's something special about a custom embroidered sweatshirt. Embroidery has a nice, crisp look, after all -- and a custom embroidered design is sure to impress, whether it's on custom crewneck sweatshirts or custom hoodies.
A custom-embroidered left chest logo or other design looks professional. There's nothing quite like -- it's a thing of beauty that helps custom sweatshirts stand out from the pack. In fact, I daresay just about everybody enjoys embroidered sweatshirts. After all, who doesn't feel a slight, "Oh, wow!", when they see a fancy embroidered left chest design?
Best of all, our custom embroidered sweatshirts cost far less than you might find elsewhere. We routinely offer lower prices than many of our top competitors, including mega-names like Custom Ink.
And our prices are exactly what they look like -- No setup fees, no hidden fees, free shipping on most orders. So the price you listed listed on any of our embroidered sweatshirts product pages very well may be the final price you pay when ordering that amount (assuming that your embroidered sweatshirts have a design with a stitchcount of 5k or less).
What's the difference between a sweater and a sweatshirt?
Different parts of America favor different words for the same thing. While we discuss the subject at length in an article, the short answer is that there's no real generally agreed-upon distinction -- instead lots of people give lots of reasons that quite often contradict each others' answers.
However, whether you call them custom sweaters, custom sweatshirts, or anything else, you can rely on Bolt Printing to make them for you.
Not only does Bolt Printing produce amazing, high-quality men's hoodies, but we offer them at astoundingly-low prices.
Our least-expensive embroidered hoodie is currently Gildan's Heavy Blend™ Hooded Sweatshirt (the 18500-E, available in 34 colors), a 50-50 poly-cotton blend that offers awesome quality at an amazing price. As of 2/7/23, these custom hoodies cost as little as $27.15 each when ordering 12 or $22.95 each when buying 96.
(And if your idea of a best deal is something that also saves the planet, we carry hoodies made from recycled materials.)
Crewneck sweatshirts are gaining in popularity and custom embroidery can make a good thing even better. Bolt Printing produces amazing custom embroidered sweatshirts and our crewnecks come in a variety of styles (such as a french terry).
More than anything, though, when you order from Bolt Printing, you'll be dealing with a company that CARES about delivering the very best, top-notch custom apparel.
An average rating might be adequate for most companies, but Bolt strives for 5-star reviews (and only because 6-star reviews aren't an option on TrustPilot). That's why we go out of our way to offer AMAZING customer service. You won't ever have to worry about somebody not picking up the phone (well, unless we're closed for the day, and then it's because nobody is here).
We always strive to do better. Bolt understands that creating custom sweatshirts is a lot more than just slapping a logo on a sweatshirt -- we review customer designs to ensure things turn out beautifully. After all, we don't want you to merely like your custom sweatshirt, we want you to LOVE it! And that's why your personalization is to important to us.
For us, it's more than just product -- ordering custom sweatshirts is an experience. Our team of experts will work with you throughout the entire process, providing advice and regular updates.

Good to know
Once you submit your design, our experts will digitize the file so it can be read by our embroidery machines. The design area on the sweatshirt then receives a backing (to hold the stitches) and is then secured with a hoop while the machine embroiders the design.
When you order from Bolt Printing, you don't have to wait for your custom embroidered sweatshirts and hoodies. We offer 2-day turnaround on most orders.
Bolt's most affordable custom embroidered sweatshirts cost as little as $20.22 each when ordering 12 or $14.02 each when ordering 96 (specifically the Gildan 18000-E, as of 6/21/23). However, the price of embroidered sweatshirts will depend on the stitch count for your custom embroidery design.
Embroidered sweatshirts are a durable, long-lasting outer clothing layer. They're perfect for outdoor workers and during colder weather.
When embroidering a custom sweatshirt, you'll want to avoid large designs (because your cost is based on the stitch count) and fine details on small designs (because that detail can be lost). And it doesn't make sense to embroider a tie-dye hoodie.
